We are so excited to be joining our friends and comrades at the CA Domestic Workers Coalition, as we celebrate domestic worker power in honor of #WorkersMemorialDay!

Join us on Thursday, April 25th for an in-person Hand in Hand member gathering, followed by a multimedia art show!

From 5-6pm, we will gather at Normandie Park for a short member meeting. We’ll eat together and connect, and then head over to the nearby art show at START Los Angeles from 6pm-8pm.

The show will feature portraits of domestic worker and employer leaders taken by renowned photographers Riccardo Stanley and Joe Ramos.

Did you know, under the Seattle's Domestic Workers Ordinance (DWO):
• Domestic workers have the right to a 30-minute, uninterrupted meal period when they work for more than five consecutive hours for the same hiring entity.
• Domestic workers must be allowed a paid 10-minute uninterrupted rest break for each four consecutive hours of work for the same hiring entity.
• If a domestic worker's work responsibilities make it impossible or infeasible to take a meal period or rest break, the hiring entity must provide additional compensation for the missed meal period or rest break.
