Happy Father’s Day! 🫶

This beautiful video from Charlie Does Charlie Things | Flourishing w/Alzheimers | Artist says it all — care is presence. We’re so grateful for this father and son — dynamic dementia duo — and for every caregiver and worker who helps make these moments possible.

Drop a ❤️ or tell us about your dad in the comments — how do you love your people well?

[Video description: Two Chicano men, on seated on the floor, the other seated in a sofa chair behind him.]

Today we celebrate Juneteenth — the day in 1865 when the last enslaved people in Galveston, Texas finally learned they were free. Two and a half years after the Emancipation Proclamation. Two and a half years of freedom delayed.

It's a powerful reminder of how long justice can take — and why we must never stop fighting for it.

At Hand in Hand, we believe freedom must include dignity and safety, at home and at work. Black domestic workers have been at the heart of the care economy for generations — nurturing families, cleaning homes, and supporting older people and people with disabilities. Their contributions have been undervalued, underpaid, and overlooked for far too long.

This Juneteenth, we're lifting up their legacy and renewing our commitment to the fight for respect, rights, and fair care for all domestic workers. ✊
