In celebration of its 15th anniversary, Hand in Hand is proud to release Bread and Roses Hand in Hand, a new video poem created to celebrate our work. We created this piece to convey the skill and intimate care that domestic workers provide as well as the unique relationship between domestic workers and their employers. Hand in Hand commissioned Denise Jolly to write the poem that formed the basis of the piece, and longtime member and documentary filmmaker Shaleece Hass, served as the producer. We are grateful to all of the workers and employers who opened their homes and agreed to be filmed and for our movement partners who generously shared their footage.

We hope you find the piece as moving as we do, will share it among your networks and will consider making a donation in honor of our 15th anniversary to sustain our work.
