“They are domestic workers … Why wouldn’t we want for them what we seek to fulfill in ourselves? Dignity, humanity, and wholeness.”

April is Care Workers Recognition Month, a time to honor the dedication, compassion, and vital role these care and domestic workers play in our lives. 💐

Domestic work is the fundamental work of care and support that we all rely on. Without it, so much of how we live today would not be possible. These workers keep our careers going and families thriving. They make all other work possible!

Hand in Hand embarked on this video poem to show the skill and intimate care that domestic workers provide, and the unique relationship between domestic workers and their employers.

This movement demands action, more than ever. While this administration slashes funding, terrorizes immigrant communities, and attempts to silence care workers, we’re building a powerful movement grounded in love, justice, and dignity. 🫶

Most definitely. They provide a fundamental service to seniors especially those w disabilities. We of the largest generation who are now seniors must acknowledge that reality.
