Throwback to Reclaiming Our Legacy last Friday — a day of action, joy, and unapologetic celebration of 35 years of the American with Disabilities Act. Alongside our partners we came together to celebrate the power of community in action.

Today, as our disabled communities face mounting challenges, we look back not with nostalgia, but with determination as our resolve remains steady. Our legacy is not just history; it’s a living call to keep fighting, keep building, and keep finding joy — even in the hardest moments.

Even in these challenging times, we are sparking change. We’ve been forging connections with our community leaders to protect immigrant domestic workers, delivering trainings to thousands of people about how to be fair employers, and advocating for a policy agenda that would expand the rights of domestic workers and working people everywhere.

Join us at our upcoming Hand in Hand NYC membership meeting NEXT Wednesday, July 23rd at 7pm to continue building on that work! We'll focus on ways you can help expand Sanctuary Homes Trainings and stand up for our immigrant communities.
