Julia is one of the nearly 3 million Californians, including seniors, children, and people with disabilities will lose health care coverage if state leaders don’t act.

Last week we joined our partners in Sacramento to have our voices heard, and we plan to be back next week.

Our message for #CALeg and @cagovernor @gavinnewsom remains the same: we urge
you to make sure the final #CABudget raises needed revenue to keep Californians covered, like the Senate’s “Fair Share Contribution” proposal.

We are asking them to fight for our health! 💪

Stop trying to scare people. No one is losing anything except illegals.

On Wednesday, news broke about a federal government Medicaid funding freeze in California. This comes at a time when the California Governor's 2026–2027 state budget proposal puts Medi-Cal, In Home Supportive Services (IHSS), and the services that millions of disabled people, older adults, and home care workers rely on at risk.

That's why we're organizing to take action — from budget hearings to virtual advocacy hours and in-person and virtual lobby days.

Join us at our next virtual Defend IHSS & Medi-Cal Action Hour on Wednesday, May 20 at 11 a.m. PST to learn how you can get involved!

Together we'll:
• Get an update on the May Revise
• Make calls and send emails to our state legislators
