This past week has been devastating. Three people have lost their lives at the hands of and in encounters with ICE in just seven days — a painful and tragic reminder of the fear and uncertainty so many of our immigrant neighbors are living with right now.

That’s why we want every worker and every family to know that in New Jersey: employers across the state are not required to ask about immigration status, and there are protections and resources available to support you.

Check out more on protective policies in our slides below, and learn more about the New Jersey Domestic Worker's Bill of Rights via link in the comments👇

Joan Sebastian Guerrero should still be alive.
Lorenzo Salgado Araujo should still be alive.

Our hearts are heavy today. Again, another person killed at the hands of ICE — less than a week apart. 💔

$70 billion that could be used to fund care, is instead used to terrorize communities, separate families, and kill our immigrant neighbors.

NOT one penny more.
NOT one life more.

Defund ICE. Fund Care.
Protect Our Communities. Abolish ICE.
