BIG NEWS: We are thrilled about the passage of a more inclusive paid sick leave law in Connecticut. This victory underscores the importance of fair working conditions for domestic workers. The Task Force created by this law presents a crucial opportunity for us to collaborate with the CT legislature to support domestic employers.

Employers of domestic workers are families, parents, and individuals whose homes also serve as workplaces, and it’s critical that they understand their responsibilities under the law and address compliance challenges unique to this industry. As an organization dedicated to mobilizing domestic employers across race, class, and disability, we look forward to advancing our efforts through this law, advocating for a care system that works for everyone.

Paid Sick Days have just PASSED the Senate! 👏👏

Now this bill will move to Governor Lamont’s desk for final signature, and the Governor has already spoken out in support of Paid Sick Days!

Thanks to YOU and your support, Connecticut will soon have a strong and inclusive Paid Sick Days policy that will help increase economic security for women and families, in turn helping to close Connecticut’s serious wealth and wage gaps.
