The government shutdown may have ended, but access to care remains out of reach for millions— as they face higher ACA premiums and cuts to Medicaid and SNAP.

The fight is not over. We the people not only need a functioning federal government, we need it to invest in care— for ALL of us. #carenotcuts

"Care is what makes us human. Care is what we want to provide each other."

This #NationalFamilyCaregiversMonth we are lifting up the stories of family caregivers, and former family caregivers like Kate Washington, whose experience reminds us of the profound impact caregiving has on our lives and our communities.

Kate also reminds us of the importance of being in community to build power within the care movement— especially right now, as families face a growing care crisis, cuts to Medicaid and other safety next, and the continued targeting of our immigrant communities.

Family caregivers provide the love, support, and essential care that often goes unseen and undervalued. Whether you've cared for a parent, partner, child, or loved one– or someone in your family has provided care for you– your story matters.

This month, share your care story with us and receive an Honor Domestic Work poster to celebrate the vital work of caregiving. Plus, you'll be entered to win a copy of Kate's book, Already Toast: Caregiving and Burnout in America! 📚
